Pre-Course Experience

Image
A month before the Spring 2021 semester began, I was preparing for my Master's in the Early Childhood and Childhood Education Program.  I was not nervous about my second semester, I was ecstatic.  I felt prepared because I reviewed my syllabi and purchased my textbooks.  I am currently a Teacher Assistant at an Elementary school.  My Methods of Teaching Social Studies course required a completion of an Easter Egg Hunt Activity.  The Easter Egg Hunt Activity allowed me to familiarize myself with the syllabus and get acquainted with the class guidelines.  The welcome slide was an activity that allowed myself and my classmates to introduce themselves.  My first class was overwhelming.  I persevered and completed the assignments for the course.       I am so grateful to be a Teacher Assistant to be able to get insight on a Teacher's daily tasks.  I look forward to one day having my own classroom and teaching the children...

Adventures of Teaching Social Studies

Social Studies is an important subject to teach.  Teachers can teach students what occurred in the past and in present day.  Students could think critically on how they can make the world a better place.
