Pre-Course Experience
A month before the Spring 2021 semester began, I was preparing for my Master's in the Early Childhood and Childhood Education Program. I was not nervous about my second semester, I was ecstatic. I felt prepared because I reviewed my syllabi and purchased my textbooks. I am currently a Teacher Assistant at an Elementary school. My Methods of Teaching Social Studies course required a completion of an Easter Egg Hunt Activity. The Easter Egg Hunt Activity allowed me to familiarize myself with the syllabus and get acquainted with the class guidelines. The welcome slide was an activity that allowed myself and my classmates to introduce themselves. My first class was overwhelming. I persevered and completed the assignments for the course.
I am so grateful to be a Teacher Assistant to be able to get insight on a Teacher's daily tasks. I look forward to one day having my own classroom and teaching the children of the future.
Hi Gabby! What a beautiful photo of you! It's a great idea to include a photo of yourself in your blog so people can see what you look like. I only posted my Bimoji but I am going to go back and change it. It makes your blog feel more personable with a photo of yourself. I just wanted to say that You have such a positive attitude, amazing patience with students, and a great smile. I think you will make a great teacher one day. I think you should believe in yourself and what you are saying more and this will make your voice stronger! You are smart! You are amazing! You need to practice making yourself heard so we can all hear the great things that you have to share with us as collegues and for your students in the future. We want to hear all that is happening in your genius brain! I hope you had a great semester and I look forward to seeing you in the fall!
